Kentucky VINE through VINELink receives information from participating local and state agencies. For Bullitt County, its useful functions are narrow: look up one named person’s displayed custody status and register for a future event notice. A participating Bullitt County Detention Center record may reflect local custody. A state record may reflect Kentucky Department of Corrections custody or another state event.
VINELink is not a rolling list of everyone released from Bullitt County. It is also not a court docket, warrant database, or full correctional history. The official Bullitt jail publishes only a current JailTracker roster, not a released archive. VINELink can supply a separate status or event clue after a name no longer appears there, but the jail’s release entry remains the best source for the local physical exit and disposition.

A displayed release event is useful evidence, but the wording must remain narrow. “VINELink reports a release event” is sound. “The person is free of all custody” is not, unless each relevant hold and receiving agency has been checked. A transfer can end one custodian’s control without returning the person to the community.
Register Bullitt Release Notifications
Registration attaches to the selected offender record. It is not a broad alert for anyone with the same name. Verify the record first, then select the channel offered by the live system. Phone, text, and email may be available. Exact choices can vary, so the current Kentucky screen is the final authority.
- Open the correct offender detail after comparing identifiers and location.
- Choose Register for Notifications on that record.
- Select an available phone, text, or email channel.
- Enter the destination and complete the confirmation prompt shown.
- For telephone alerts, create or use the requested four-digit PIN. Enter it when the automated call arrives to confirm receipt and stop repeat calls.
- For text or email, follow the live code or link confirmation where offered.
- Keep the offender ID and registration confirmation for later reference.
Alerts can reduce repeated checks while a person remains confined. They should not stand alone when exact release time or legal disposition matters. A phone can be unavailable, a message can be filtered, and source data can arrive late. Keep the correct jail, KDOC, or court path ready.
The PIN is not an offender identifier. It tells the automated phone system that the recipient got the notice. Do not share it casually, and follow the portal’s live directions if a registration needs to be changed.
Confirm Bullitt County Jail Release
For a Bullitt county booking, first distinguish current custody from a past exit. The official Current Inmates page answers only whether the person is displayed now. If the name is gone and VINELink reports an event, request the existing Bullitt release or transfer entry. That record should establish the local date, time, and disposition more directly.

A status such as parole or discharge carries a different meaning from a county jail roster absence. Read every date label exactly. Parole eligibility, a proposed date, and actual discharge are not interchangeable.
KDOC daily-release reports can corroborate a state event. Bullitt County Detention Center can appear as a release location because the county jail may house some state prisoners. That overlap does not turn the daily state report into a full list of Bullitt bond-outs, dismissals, transfers, or local sentence completions.
If the VINELink event and KOOL differ, preserve both reports, the time checked, and each label. Ask the source agency to explain or correct its own field. For the physical exit from Bullitt County Detention Center, request the local entry too. For final state discharge or community supervision, KDOC is the proper record keeper.

Bullitt’s March 2025 ICE 287(g) agreement is one local reason to avoid broad conclusions, but the agreement itself proves nothing about any named person.
Use the BOP Inmate Locator for sentenced federal prisoners. A federal pretrial defendant may instead require the federal docket and U.S. Marshals information. Use the ICE Online Detainee Locator for immigration custody. A Kentucky State Police registry entry has a limited statutory scope and is not a general released-inmate tool.
